Budweiserâs commercials with the Clydesdale horses have always been winners. They involve relationships and feelings. They are mini-stories about life that make us feel wonderful, whether or not we drink beer, and make us think about Budweiser with warmth. Budweiserâs 2014 âPuppy Loveâ commercial was rated one of the best commercials of all time. Why? It involved a puppy, horses, and music. Go online and watch that commercial. It made me laugh, cry and âfall in loveâ all over again. I love it and will always relate warm feelings with Budweiser.
The marketing lesson to learn from Budweiser: Make your prospects/clients feel and they will always remember you. When you are writing your website, e-newsletter, marketing brochure, or whatever, please ask yourself one question:
HOW DO I WANT MY PROSPECTS/CLIENTS TO FEEL AFTER READING THIS INFORMATION?
In order to create the type of feelings you want to generate, you must first know WHO you want to speak to; WHAT problems you solve for this population; as well as HOW they articulate their feelings about their problems. When you can describe in detail all these areasâWHO, WHAT, and HOWâthen your marketing will be far more effective and successful. Your clients and prospects will feel like you know and understand them. Now that is the beginning of GREAT marketing.
CREATE YOUR OWN âWHYâ MOVEMENT
Your âWHYâ can create a movement that attracts your ideal clients. Your WHY will create a tribe of fans (clients) who will refer you, be loyal to you, and promote you at all times. Your WHY will attract top, talented team members who are committed to the business because they have a strong conviction about the purpose of the business.
